Name: Asher Gutermuth
Class: Lower Cycle, Third Year
Personality: In contrast to his much more prickly canon self, Asher is actually fairly mild. He grew up in a loving and supportive family and is particularly close with his older brother Ariel, who is a local idol. Rather than being jealous of the attention his older brother gets, Asher mostly thinks it looks like a lot of work, and would rather stay out of the limelight himself. He's not especially outgoing and doesn't have a lot of friends, though he's sociable enough. In fact, most of his life shows that same kind of easygoing halfheartedness. He's been studying martial arts for years, but doesn't think about it much except for the time he's actually in a lesson. His school work isn't impressive, just good enough. He's not ambitious, but he's happy that way.

That said, he can still have a hard side when pushed. Over the years, people who are inclined to bully others have sometimes marked him as an easy target, and are surprised when he's more than willing to fight back. Fairness is important to him, and it bothers him when he sees people trying to just push others around. He may not go out of his way to make friends with people, but he will step in if he sees they need help.
